About The Learning Room
Who We Are
The Learning Room is more than a platform—it’s a movement for emotional, social, and mindset education. We believe every child, teen, parent, and educator deserves the tools to thrive not just academically, but emotionally and mentally too. Our mission is to make social-emotional learning (SEL) and life skills accessible, engaging, and transformative. Whether you’re a parent helping your child navigate big emotions, a teacher guiding your classroom, or a teen learning to express your identity. The Learning Room is your toolkit for real-life growth.
Our Story
The Learning Room was born out of a vision to equip young people and the adults who guide them with real-world skills for confidence, communication, and emotional wellbeing. Created by educators and coaches with years of experience in SEL, our approach is rooted in empathy, backed by neuroscience, and refined by the lived experiences of hundreds of families, schools, and learning communities. We work at the intersection of education, psychology, and community empowerment—and we’re here to help raise a generation that knows who they are, how they feel, and how to navigate life with courage.
From Vision to Reality: Parita’s Story
My name is Parita, and I’m the founder of The Learning Room. I’m a Certified Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) Practitioner with a deep passion for emotional intelligence, growth mindset, and holistic development. Over the years, I’ve expanded my training to include certifications in Life Coaching, Emotional Intelligence, and Mindset Training—each helping me build a richer toolkit to support others on their personal development journeys.
As a practitioner of Gentle and Conscious Parenting, I believe in nurturing supportive environments where empathy, mindfulness, and connection thrive. This belief has been the foundation of my work with children, teens, and parents—supporting them in understanding emotions, building self-worth, and creating healthier relationships.
The Learning Room was born from my desire to make these tools and teachings accessible to every family, educator, and learner. I’ve seen firsthand how transformative SEL can be—and I’m committed to creating a space where emotional and mindset education feels not only possible, but joyful and empowering.

Our Story: The History of Mind Ninjas
The Beginning of the Journey: Mind Ninjas was born out of a deeply personal journey of growth, resilience, and transformation. After moving to Kenya in 2014, the founder faced significant challenges: transitioning into a new culture, losing a sense of identity, and coping with personal loss. These experiences sparked a journey of self-reflection and empowerment, leading to a realization that true happiness and strength come from within.
The Catalyst for Mind Ninjas: While running a consulting business, the founder discovered her passion for psychology and emotional wellness. A friend’s visit during a difficult time revealed the founder’s natural ability to help others process emotions and find clarity. This inspired a deep dive into learning disciplines like emotional intelligence, counseling, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and coaching techniques.
Focusing on Children: Through her work with adults, the founder realized that many emotional and mindset challenges stem from childhood. This insight, combined with advice from a lecturer, motivated her to focus on schools, simplifying complex psychological concepts for children. The goal was to create a curriculum that equips young minds with the tools to identify, understand, and manage their emotions and thoughts.
The Creation of Mind Ninjas: Mind Ninjas was officially founded as a way to bring social and emotional learning (SEL) and mindset education into schools. The program is designed to empower children to become their best selves, teaching them resilience, emotional regulation, and self-awareness. By making these essential life skills accessible and engaging, Mind Ninjas is helping to shape a generation of confident, emotionally intelligent individuals.
